The most exciting announcement of recent times has been that
James, the best ever indie guitar band with rhyming members’ names (Tim, Jim…and, er, that’s it for now) to come out of Manchester, are reforming. What’s even more exciting is that Dave and I have tickets to see them play Brixton Academy in April. We were at their intended-to-be-last-ever gig at Wembley Arena on December 10th 2001 and are unhealthily beside ourselves at the thought of seeing them again.
And this morning we were pleased to see that the Ferme Park Road lollipop lady is back on duty after being hit by a spinning car as she stood by the side of the road a few weeks ago. A completely horrible accident at a notorious junction and I for one am so glad that she has survived so unscathed. Her smile is one of the best sights in Crouch End, brightening up any morning more than I can say.
